This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 5th International Workshop on Data Integration in the Life Sciences, DILS 2008, held in Evry, France in June 2008. The 18 revised full papers presented together with 3 keynote talks and a tutorial paper were carefully reviewed and selected from 54 submissions.
