| Summary: | The second chapter begins with the presentation of kinematics according to the material point model. Initially, a study is made of linear smooth motion, with the definitions of position, displacement, average and instantaneous velocity. The presentation of uniformly accelerated rectilinear motion follows, with the definitions of average and instantaneous acceleration. Next is the study of the free fall as one-dimensional motion. The equations of motion are derived in detail in each case. The chapter ends with relative motion in one dimension and Galileo's transformations. |
