| Περίληψη: | Quantification of the parameters of rangeland primary production and its spatial distribution (connection to the previous UNIT) provides the major source data for the organized management of rangelands. Key scientific terms used in the management of pastures, mainly as pasture, are analyzed. The context of the proper use of rangelands and the concept of Rangeland Unit are discussed. The management objectives and the means of achieving them are described. The concepts of grazing capacity, carrying capacity, stocking rate, and grazing pressure are presented. The specifications of grazing plans are described. Case studies on grazing capacity and regulation of grazing in space and time are presented. This knowledge forms the basis for understanding and implementing effective rangelad management.
