Το βιβλίο αυτό απευθύνεται στους προπτυχιακούς φοιτητές Οδοντιατρικής ως βασικό εκπαιδευτικό βοήθημα για το μάθημα ‘Μερικές Οδοντοστοιχίες ΙΙ’, στα πλαίσια της διδασκαλίας τους στο γνωστικό αντικείμενο της Κινητής Προσθετικής. Μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί και από τους προπτυχιακούς φοιτητές Οδοντιατρικής και Οδοντικής Τεχνολογίας που διδάσκονται μαθήματα σχετικά με το αντικείμενο των μερικών οδοντοστοιχιών, όπως τα μαθήματα ‘Μερικές Οδοντοστοιχίες Ι’ και ‘Σύνθετες Προσθετικές Αποκαταστάσεις’, του Οδοντιατρικού Τμήματος του ΑΠΘ, καθώς και από τους μεταπτυχιακούς φοιτητές. Θα είναι επιπλέον χρήσιμο για πτυχιούχους οδοντιάτρους και οδοντοτεχνίτες, για επικαιροποίηση των γνώσεών τους σχετικά με τα υλικά και τις τεχνικές, το σχεδιασμό της αποκατάστασης και γενικότερα τις αρχές διαχείρισης του μερικά νωδού ασθενή. Στόχος του βιβλίου είναι να εφοδιάσει τον αναγνώστη με συστηματική γνώση για παροχή φροντίδας στον μερικά νωδό ασθενή, εναρμονισμένη με την επιστημονική τεκμηρίωση και τη σύγχρονη ασθενοκεντρική θεώρηση, καθώς και να περιγράψει ένα ολοκληρωμένο και συστηματικό πρωτόκολλο αποκατάστασης. Έπειτα από μια σύντομη ιστορική αναδρομή της αποκατάστασης με μερικές οδοντοστοιχίες περιγράφονται τα ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστικά του μερικά νωδού ατόμου, οι άξονες για την προσέγγισή του και τα κριτήρια του προσθετικού σχεδιασμού. Στη συνέχεια αναπτύσσονται τα αλληλοδιάδοχα κλινικά και εργαστηριακά στάδια της κατασκευής της μερικής οδοντοστοιχίας διαρθρωμένα σε τρεις μεγάλες ενότητες (διάγνωση / σχεδίαση, προετοιμασία στόματος /αποτύπωση, κατασκευή της μερικής οδοντοστοιχίας). Τέλος, παρουσιάζονται τα δεδομένα σχετικά με την πρόγνωση των μερικών οδοντοστοιχιών, τις πιθανές βιολογικές και τεχνικές επιπλοκές, την αποδοχή από τους χρήστες και τη διατήρηση του αποτελέσματος. |

Έπειτα από μια σύντομη ιστορική αναδρομή της αποκατάστασης με μερικές οδοντοστοιχίες περιγράφονται τα ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστικά του μερικά νωδού ατόμου, οι άξονες για την προσέγγισή του και τα κριτήρια του προσθετικού σχεδιασμού. Additionally, it will be useful for dental graduates and dental technicians to update their knowledge regarding materials and techniques, restoration design, and the general principles of managing partially edentulous patients. The aim of the book is to equip the reader with systematic knowledge for providing care to the partially edentulous patient, aligned with scientific evidence and modern patient-centered perspectives, as well as to describe a comprehensive and systematic restoration protocol. After a brief historical overview of partial denture restoration, the particular characteristics of the partially edentulous individual, the axes for their approach, and the criteria for prosthetic design are described. Subsequently, the successive clinical and laboratory stages of partial denture construction are developed, structured into three main sections (diagnosis/design, mouth preparation/impression, construction of the partial denture). Finally, data regarding the prognosis of partial dentures, possible biological and technical complications, user acceptance, and maintenance of the result are presented.
