Description
Summary:This chapter summarizes the methodology followed for the normal geothermal plant design, focusing on the good practices that are recommended based on international experience, rules and standards established for the implementation of such systems. Finding and analyzing geological data area is necessary, since from the geological morphology of the area, they can assess the information necessary for proper planning. The most important design criteria are the high performance, high reliability and cost-effectiveness which are discussed extensively. Because an important role, for the decisions to be taken on the final design, play geological, hydrogeological and climatic constraints a brief presentation of these is attempted, while stressing that the geological requirements vary depending on the type of system to be installed. Then, the design criteria are given that must be known by the side of the building and issues are explained such as identifying the type of plant, the required drilling and their positions, and the specifications of drilling.
