Περιγραφή
Περίληψη:In this chapter a review of existing classifications of participation methods is presented. More specifically, two main classification approaches are discussed, which are classifying participation methods according to the following attributes: (a) goal served by each method; (b) level of participants' involvement; and (c) outcome pursued from their application. A variey of participation methods are falling into these classifications, the most important of which (and most often used) will be further discusses in the next two chapters of the book. Such a classification offers readers a guide for selecting, at a first step, the group of methods that is more relevant to the problem at hand, while at the same time the variety of methods falling into the selected group islisted, providing thus an overview of potential options.
