Περιγραφή
Περίληψη:In the introduction we described the basic characteristics of acute renal injury and its impact on critically ill patients hospitalized in ICUs. Then, we described the basic principles of physiology of dialysis methods and the basic characteristics of the dialysis machine. The next chapter presents the three main types of dialysis: dialysis, hemofiltration and hemodiafiltration and the separation in continuous and intermittent forms of dialysis. In the following chapters we described the indications of renal replacement therapy in the ICU and the detailed description of dialysis procedures in ICUs. Finally there is a comparison between the continuous and intermittent dialysis methods and a report on dialysis start time.
