Περίληψη:A procedure, which is widely used in the scientific field of computer vision is image registration. Additionally, the geometric alignment of a set of images, is an important tool for its further analysis / processing. The aim of the procedure is to optimally align the objects of interest, depicted in the reference and the geometrically distorted images. This is achieved in the case where images are represented by rigid and / or non-rigid physical objects, by the calculation of a geometrical transformation. Finally, it is noted, that this work intents at the development of alignment techniques of three-dimensional biological organs.
