Περίληψη:The purpose of this thesis is to show that from two different physical theories(CQFT-GR) we obtain the same physical result which in our case is the entropy of our system. We split our thesis in two parts. In the first, we begin by introducing the basic properties of a conformal field theory in n dimensions. After that, we focus on d=2, and show its algebra and the corresponding representation. We derive the Witt algebra and its central extension, the virasoro algebra . We quantize our theory introducing radial quantization and finally derive the Cardy formula from which we can calculate the entropy of our system. In the second part, we begin with the idea of black hole thermodynamics and introduce Dirac's Hamiltonian formalism. We proceed with the ADM hamiltonian formulation of General Relativity. In in the end we derive the entropy of a black hole and compare our result with that from the first part.
