| Περίληψη: | In this dissertation we investigate the relationship between greenhouse gases and
number of employees in firm level over period 2010-2017, using panel data for
firms are located in the Belgium and Netherlands.We include additional explanatory
variables such as industry sector and regions.The estimation methods applied
the fixed effect and random effect model for testing the validity of EKC hypothesis.
Our empirical results are confirmed the existence of Environmental Kuznets
Curve and the different shapes of EKC, namely inverted-U shaped Environmental
Kuznets Curve (original pattern), monotonic decreasing relationship,U-shaped
Environmental Kuznets Curve and opposite to the N-shaped curve that became
from the estimated models.
