Περίληψη:Exploiting micro data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) in particular from the Statistics of Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) about two specific time periods (2011-2012 and 2018-2019) in Greece where two opposite minimum wage impositions were constrained, this project attempts to identify the effects of the those specific minimum wage changes on the wages and the employment dynamics by proceeding on some Difference in Difference and probit estimations. At the same time investigates the earnings inequality before and after each imposition with the help of some income share ratios. The 2012 minimum wage decrease triggered a reduction in the wages, an increase in the hours of work of the affected people, a marginal increase in the employment and a marginal decrease in the unemployment. The 2019 implementation caused an increase in the wages, a marginal decrease in the hours of work, a marginal decrease in the employment and a marginal increase in unemployment. Also the earnings inequality in both cases shrank.
