The work was carried out under the supervision of Postdoctoral Ms. Georgia Koukiou and Professor Vasilios Anastasopoulos. The subject of this thesis is the design and construction of an integrated telemetry system for use on a motorcycle, based on the Arduino architecture. For this reason, first a theoretical analysis of microcontrollers in general, a description of the Arduino microcontroller and its comparison with other microcontrollers as well as the reasons for its selection. I would like to thank the supervisor Ms. Koukiou and Mr. Anastasopoulos for their contribution to the implementation of this work. Η παρούσα εργασία εκπονήθηκε στα πλαίσια της ολοκλήρωσης του προπτυχιακού κύκλου σπουδών στο τμήμα Φυσικής του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών με κατεύθυνση Ηλεκτρονική, Υπολογιστές και Επεξεργασία Σήματος. Η εργασία πραγματοποιήθηκε υπό την επίβλεψη της Μεταδιδάκτορος κα. Γεωργίας Κούκιου και του καθηγητή Βασίλειου Αναστασόπουλου. Το αντικείμενο της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η σχεδίαση και κατασκευή ενός ολοκληρωμένου συστήματος τηλεμετρίας για χρήση σε μοτοσικλέτα, βασισμένο στην αρχιτεκτονική Arduino. Για τον λόγο αυτό γίνετε αρχικά μία θεωρητική ανάλυση των μικροελεγκτών γενικά, μία περιγραφή του μικροελεγκτή Arduino και η σύγκρισή του με άλλους μικροελεγκτές καθώς και οι λόγοι επιλογής του. Θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω την επιβλέπουσα κα. Κούκιου και τον κ.
