Summary:In this article we are going to present the first application of the Flipped Classroom approach in the Greek University system. In particular, we will present the implementation of a flipped classroom in a Department of Education at the University of Patras, a peripheral Greek University. First, we present all the arrangements for the organization of the course giving emphasis on the specifications and principles of the flipped classroom approach as they emerge from the relevant literature review. Then, some crucial elements of the implementation of the course are described, and, finally, some initial findings of the course assessment are elaborated.
