Using both survey data and open interviews with these ‘minority climbers’, the study details the contextual and temporal nature of identification. The results illustrate how ethnicity is contextual but have tangible and inescapable effects at the same time. Also the findings call for a more reflexive use of terms like ethnic ingroup/outgroup and bonding/bridging. Overall, the book helps us understand the emergence of middle-class segments that articulate their minority identities and as such it will be of great interest to academics, policy makers and all those interested in processes of integration and/or diversity. 2020-03-18 13:36:15 2020-04-01T09:01:26Z 2020-04-01T09:01:26Z 2018 book 1007114 http://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/23047 eng IMISCOE Research Series application/pdf n/a 1007114.pdf https://www.springer.com/9783319995960 Springer Nature 10.1007/978-3-319-99596-0 10.1007/978-3-319-99596-0 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 202 Cham open access
