It is worth bearing in mind that research in theoretical linguistics has frequently been able to derive conclusions of general significance from the study of what appear at first glance to be quirks of the grammar. Following this tradition, the goal of this volume is to present recent research into parenthesis and ellipsis phenomena and heir interactions, in order to advance our understanding of grammar as a whole. We will now briefly highlight the main issues raised by each empirical domain, then show how investigating their intersection can help illuminate them. 2019-11-13 23:55 2020-01-07 16:47:06 2020-04-01T09:29:44Z 2020-04-01T09:29:44Z 2014 chapter 1006326 OCN: 1135847179 9781614516743; 9781501500466 http://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/23812 eng application/pdf n/a 37_[9781614514831 - Parenthesis and Ellipsis] Incomplete parenthesis An overview.pdf De Gruyter Parenthesis and Ellipsis: Cross-Linguistic and Theoretical Perspectives 10.1515/9781614514831.1 10.1515/9781614514831.1 2b386f62-fc18-4108-bcf1-ade3ed4cf2f3 76fc68bb-4b18-461c-9e68-c09dca9ce031 7292b17b-f01a-4016-94d3-d7fb5ef9fb79 9781614516743; 9781501500466 European Research Council (ERC) Berlin/Boston 263836 FP7 Ideas: European Research Council FP7-IDEAS-ERC - Specific Programme: "Ideas" Implementing the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Community for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration Activities (2007 to 2013) open access
