Is it of interest today only as a witness of the past or as a personal testimony? Do the works of his second creative period contain important innovations worth examining? Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt den Versuch einer wissenschaftlich-kritischen Studie über Leben und Werk von Lev L'vovič Kobylinskij-Éllis (1879-1947) dar, um dadurch eine Lücke in der Erforschung des russischen Symbolismus zu schließen. Die vorliegende Studie soll folgende Fragen beantworten: Ist Éllis zu recht in Vergessenheit geraten? Hat er durch sein Werk einen Beitrag zum russischen Symbolismus geleistet?
