A Step Ahead of the Unforeseen elucidate new views on emergency-preparedness management and understanding the unforeseen in society and learning processes by introducing the concept of ‘samhandling’, a Norwegian term that connotes interaction, collaboration and cooperation in one word. What are the basic structures of the concept of ‘samhandling’ under risk? How can ‘samhandling’ be created when conditions are unpredictable? These questions served as the springboard for 28 research studies, the results of which are now presented in this anthology, organized in four parts: Educational, Organizational, Operational Samhandling Structures and Theory Construction and The Way Forward. The book conveys new knowledge that forms the basis for a new view on strategic, emergency-preparedness management, and understanding of the unforeseen in society and in learning processes. The approach is interdisciplinary but has a particular focus on disciplines such as pedagogy, psychology, military science, health sciences, and organization and management, applied in various industries and sectors related to practical examples, experiences and challenges. The book’s primary target group is the scientific research communities within these disciplines. 2018-10-08 19:16:31 2020-04-01T12:20:35Z 2020-04-01T12:20:35Z 2018 book 1001625 OCN: 1076784013 http://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/28332 eng application/pdf n/a Interaction_whole book.pdf Cappelen Damm Akademisk/NOASP (Nordic Open Access Scholarly Publishing) 10.23865/noasp.36 10.23865/noasp.36 bf7b42a4-6892-42e3-aaf8-8f32c8470a8b 4175461b-a3c9-439e-9cd2-fb69764cdeaf 036af618-16cc-4e26-bd67-22173cef3979 64f07e5f-5443-4e86-b104-371f0402a35c f2f6dc14-ef18-4ae7-9077-72a7033163c6 9af92d9a-e545-46a8-b41a-e9f28df50a3e 40d21896-7448-4732-bd67-2a19ed986bfa 1715e819-468d-41ae-95d4-1694bb682222 3afde513-7014-4ef0-a1bc-49f13cb3b46d 67b6025b-b13d-493c-a725-f48b04e929b3 097baf10-0856-4b55-aa6c-07db2012da8d aad6423c-9d9b-42e2-a319-1d6ebbcfc62e 18d08004-8b6e-48d8-9c6f-df9f00548561 3e2b428f-c07e-4a2d-829c-47bed253e6e9 7e24902d-c52e-4f25-a1e5-a177cdcae347 2d7f9a9b-3e29-4d60-bf1b-35dbdeea89cc 9329b4f6-7e8d-4792-b437-ecb6eaee44d0 73554229-494a-4f83-b1e3-c3b32d3c8a2a e980b4e1-378c-4993-832c-dd54ee16aab6 a3ae0556-3624-4842-b6eb-3f6ccc2fab5b a8a8c434-d05b-4a0d-bf5d-01c177919173 894a8b27-11ec-44c8-9315-4243ead1adab cc1b10b5-d209-490d-8ae1-309266fa30ae 3ac9c782-9193-4fa7-bfb2-2dc067ce3a94 f8fc4e7e-db66-4719-be3c-b14c801ce8ab 45975252-fe73-4158-b292-ae7d723875a0 7d46363a-5677-419f-83e7-3f37d49ee245 5e0b6204-0adb-400f-90ea-13f7f62c54a5 96540a25-020b-4382-af18-74cf444b069f 551 Oslo 2018-10-08 19:15:49, Grant by: Norwegian Defense University College open access
