That day, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed twelve fellow students and a teacher, as well as wounding twenty-four other people, before they killed themselves. Although there have been other books written about the tragedy, this is the first serious, impartial investigation into the cultural, environmental, and psychological causes of the massacre. Based on first-hand interviews and a thorough reading of the relevant literature, Ralph Larkin examines the numerous factors that led the two young men to plan and carry out their deed. Rather than simply looking at Columbine as a crucible for all school violence, Larkin places the tragedy in its proper context, and in doing so, examines its causes and meaning. 2017-03-01 23:55:55 2020-03-07 03:00:27 2020-04-01T13:40:51Z 2020-04-01T13:40:51Z 2007-02-01 book 626973 OCN: 166421692 9781592134908 http://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/31587 eng application/pdf n/a 626973.pdf Temple University Press 10.26530/oapen_626973 100303 10.26530/oapen_626973 126074ec-499d-4e24-a17f-09a9c593ec01 b818ba9d-2dd9-4fd7-a364-7f305aef7ee9 9781592134908 Knowledge Unlatched (KU) 100303 KU Select 2016 Backlist Collection Knowledge Unlatched open access
