Descriptions of the detailed procedures and methods used in trials that have been conducted in the past have generally not been published. As a consequence, those planning such trials have few guidelines available and little access to previously accumulated knowledge. In this book the practical issues of trial design and conduct are discussed fully and in sufficient detail for the text to be used as a “toolbox” by field investigators. The toolbox has now been extensively tested through use of the first two editions and this third edition is a comprehensive revision, incorporating the many developments that have taken place with respect to trials since 1996 and involving more than 30 contributors. Most of the chapters have been extensively revised and 7 new chapters have been added. 2015-12-31 23:55:55 2018-10-03 09:09:28 2020-04-01T14:33:52Z 2020-04-01T14:33:52Z 2015 book 569923 OCN: 1030818821 9780198732860 http://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33127 eng application/pdf Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International 569923.pdf http://ukcatalogue.oup.com/product/9780198732860.do Oxford University Press 10.1093/med/9780198732860.001.0001 10.1093/med/9780198732860.001.0001 b9501915-cdee-4f2a-8030-9c0b187854b2 4b2ee140-1621-4044-a6bd-6034a1c07a2b 1c29ffd6-bf6a-4abd-9757-7c08820e05cc 565ce4a2-3ff7-41f7-bf38-c1bc1d85768f f5844a66-969a-4ec0-abbb-73c18b15f8dd 8b214c8e-1a8f-4161-b0c3-dacc179978ea 61424c21-b116-4aa2-b0b4-eb1b8ecb67de bd0daf6f-aa9c-4639-9c13-881a120419ad 9cb2b998-ac1b-4220-b9bf-01c7818299b7 0a21486d-e407-45e8-bfa9-58f951da773d c285b58f-e568-4227-8597-8fc0e48e4825 998d26ec-4161-48c4-b73b-8645f4f8bbe7 4b517a07-ad75-479c-a03d-579838a9a3d4 87a75033-557c-41e3-89ca-d45c1e78e204 4e5b9d1b-5aaf-476d-813a-fa4cc2d93bbd fc5e6461-bc3c-42d9-abab-f602cf101e31 94d2f67a-2f94-4c47-a7af-7ad315974b32 8544980b-8128-4d36-81b7-76a48c8e9aa8 a0daea04-8214-4104-8279-5d48d7ce7aeb 3507595b-ee04-4120-bbde-70bd78c85f76 dab0b48e-ce14-4095-8bd7-11718387b67a bf78e05d-8938-49fb-8fec-66de52bea273 1a125ad6-f8f0-4120-9e4d-d846c0a04ce8 c406442b-45ca-411b-8523-e25586e042f7 4e4aa373-86d2-432b-a76d-31973cb4dd0b 4d124e03-f0db-4c5e-9103-2871f3f4775b 9346168b-10fa-4eae-89c9-c67ce5612687 cff62a6f-7cc2-41b5-8aa9-4efe9f0dd297 9fce7407-ade0-4070-80a5-28ade8e30463 d859fbd3-d884-4090-a0ec-baf821c9abfd 9780198732860 Wellcome 480 063410 Wellcome Trust Wellcome open access
