It offers a critical and reflexive perspective about social reality from a multidisciplinary and transversal point of view, sharing knowledge and practices in different countries about the articulations between Roma families, individuals, school and public policies. Over time, there has been an increase in the educational attainment of European citizens, but there are still persistent inequalities between Roma and non-Roma, including gender inequalities, which greatly affect Roma women. The volume explores the issue of Roma education and includes chapters from Western European, South and Central and Eastern European researchers using different theoretical and methodological perspectives. The intersection of this diversity and plurality of standpoints makes possible to obtain a comprehensive view on the education and schooling of European Roma. 2021-02-15T10:20:10Z 2021-02-15T10:20:10Z 2021 book ONIX_20210215_9783030525880_10 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/46800 eng application/pdf n/a 2021_Book_SocialAndEconomicVulnerability.pdf https://www.springer.com/9783030525880 Springer Nature Springer 10.1007/978-3-030-52588-0 10.1007/978-3-030-52588-0 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 d1f47e60-b4ca-4336-bb80-5e091551801f a2ecb4a4-98c5-42ea-8390-dc01e80b4916 c11558e2-b463-4d84-ad61-de3f4f95b244 c0be8795-b11d-40d5-9ad4-a165ee31d3c3 Springer 253 [grantnumber unknown] [grantnumber unknown] [grantnumber unknown] [grantnumber unknown] Helsingin Yliopisto University of Helsinki open access
