It offers a critical and reflexive perspective about social reality from a multidisciplinary and transversal point of view, sharing knowledge and practices in different countries about the articulations between Roma families, individuals, school and public policies. Over time, there has been an increase in the educational attainment of European citizens, but there are still persistent inequalities between Roma and non-Roma, including gender inequalities, which greatly affect Roma women. The volume explores the issue of Roma education and includes chapters from Western European, South and Central and Eastern European researchers using different theoretical and methodological perspectives. The intersection of this diversity and plurality of standpoints makes possible to obtain a comprehensive view on the education and schooling of European Roma. 2021-03-15T13:29:12Z 2021-03-15T13:29:12Z 2021 book ONIX_20210315_9783030525880_10 9783030525880 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/47278 eng application/pdf Attribution 4.0 International 9783030525880.pdf https://www.springer.com/9783030525880 Springer Nature 10.1007/978-3-030-52588-0 10.1007/978-3-030-52588-0 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 a27f641f-ecbc-4b53-8ffd-82fd532269e5 261c676e-bbba-4d79-ad70-0cf6d7fda1fd c11558e2-b463-4d84-ad61-de3f4f95b244 8fca8104-cc99-44de-930f-68d316b743a4 9783030525880 253 [grantnumber unknown] [grantnumber unknown] [grantnumber unknown] [grantnumber unknown] Helsingin Yliopisto University of Helsinki open access
