Research on school improvement and accountability analysis places high demands on a study’s design and method. The potential of combining the depth of case studies with the breath of quantitative measures and analyses in a mixed-methods design seems very promising. Consequently, the focus of the book lies on innovative methodological approaches. The book chapters address design, measurement, and analysis developments as well as theoretical and conceptual developments. The relevance of the research presented in the chapters for educational accountability is discussed in the book’s discussion chapter. More specifically, authors present one specific innovative methodological approach and clarify that approach with a concrete example in the context of school improvement, based on empirical data when possible. In this way, this book helps researchers designing complex useful studies. 2021-07-14T09:58:25Z 2021-07-14T09:58:25Z 2021 book ONIX_20210714_9783030693459_14 9783030693459 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/50027 eng Accountability and Educational Improvement application/pdf n/a 978-3-030-69345-9.pdf https://www.springer.com/9783030693459 Springer Nature Springer International Publishing 10.1007/978-3-030-69345-9 10.1007/978-3-030-69345-9 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 10151060-7d94-4151-b1ed-882f3c04ce4d 9783030693459 Springer International Publishing 312 [grantnumber unknown] open access
