It illuminates the different substantive and procedural aspects of the legal proceedings and negotiations between the various local and transnational actors implicated in the Ali Enterprises fire, as well as the legal and policy reforms sparked by the incident. This endeavour serves to embed these legal cases and reform efforts in the larger context of human and labour rights protection and global value chain governance. It also offers a concrete case study relevant for ongoing debates around the role of transnational approaches in making human rights litigation, advocacy, and law reform more effective. In this regard, the book interrogates and critically reflects on such legal campaigns and local and transnational reform work with a view to future transformative legal and social activism. 2021-07-14T09:58:38Z 2021-07-14T09:58:38Z 2021 book ONIX_20210714_9783030738358_19 9783030738358 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/50038 eng Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Rights application/pdf n/a 978-3-030-73835-8.pdf https://www.springer.com/9783030738358 Springer Nature Springer International Publishing 10.1007/978-3-030-73835-8 10.1007/978-3-030-73835-8 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 9734f8cb-502e-4b0d-9b19-082eaf4a2f80 9783030738358 Springer International Publishing 6 333 [grantnumber unknown] open access
