It considers various aspects of the reception of Polish translations of Spanish American prose in 1945-2005 by examining their presence on the book market in the communist times and after 1990 in free market conditions. The analyses of critical texts show the attitudes of Polish critics towards this prose over the years. Survey research presents motives, behaviours and needs developed in different epochs by Polish readers. The interdisciplinary character of the monograph involves methodology inspired by translation, reception and cultural studies, sociology of literature and intercultural semantics. 2021-07-15T09:46:55Z 2021-07-15T09:46:55Z 2019 book ONIX_20210715_9783631777633_11 9783631777633 9783631777640 9783631777657 9783631774267 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/50110 eng Studies in Language, Culture and Society application/pdf n/a 9783631777633.pdf Peter Lang International Academic Publishers 10.3726/b15369 10.3726/b15369 e927e604-2954-4bf6-826b-d5ecb47c6555 9783631777633 9783631777640 9783631777657 9783631774267 15 394 Bern open access
