The contributions analyze links between countries via global trade, colonial history, similarity in culture, and spatial proximity. Networks are viewed as the structural backbone of the diffusion process, and diffusion is anlaysed via several subfields of social policy, in order to interrogate which network dimensions drive this process. The focus is on a global perspective of social policy diffusion via networks, and it is the first book to explicitly follow this macro-quantitative perspective on diffusion at a global scale whilst also comparing different networks. The collection tests the network structures in terms of their relevance to the diffusion process in different subfields of social policy such as old age and survivor pensions, labor and labor markets, health and long-term care, education and training, and family and gender policy. The book will therefore be invaluable to students and researchers of global social policy, sociology, political science, international relations, organization theory and economics. 2021-12-13T18:55:52Z 2021-12-13T18:55:52Z 2022 book ONIX_20211213_9783030834036_35 9783030834036 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/51961 eng Global Dynamics of Social Policy application/pdf n/a 978-3-030-83403-6.pdf https://link.springer.com/978-3-030-83403-6 Springer Nature Palgrave Macmillan 10.1007/978-3-030-83403-6 10.1007/978-3-030-83403-6 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 925c8ff7-ee90-4841-9180-f9e8807761a8 8073dc03-6689-40cd-b641-c4a3fd3519ec 9783030834036 Palgrave Macmillan 272 Bern [grantnumber unknown] [grantnumber unknown] open access
