Onofrio Panvinio is primarily known for his antiquarian studies about ancient Rome and for his edition of Bartolomeo Platina’s Lives of the Popes. His preoccupation with the Roman rite, however, remains until today largely unnoticed by modern scholarship. This edition of Panvinio’s Vetusti aliquot rituales libri highlights his interests in the development of Roman liturgy during the last sessions of the Council of Trent (1545–1563) by presenting the various documentary as well as cultural layers of Panvinio’s collection of Roman ritual manuscripts. 2022-03-17T10:31:40Z 2022-03-17T10:31:40Z 2022 book ONIX_20220317_9783034344593_11 9783034344593 9783034344609 9783034344616 9783034343022 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/53415 eng application/pdf n/a 9783034344593.pdf Peter Lang International Academic Publishers 10.3726/b19297 10.3726/b19297 e927e604-2954-4bf6-826b-d5ecb47c6555 9783034344593 9783034344609 9783034344616 9783034343022 384 Bern open access
