Also the fundamental physics has benefited from these advancements with the development of quantum simulators, controlled quantum platforms engineered in such a way to emulate the physics of complex systems difficult to investigate with classical approaches. The present work deals with the simulation of some fundamental properties of quantum-Hall systems by means of degenerate fermionic Ytterbium atoms confined in artificial periodic potentials. Extreme regimes, inaccessible to real solid-state system, have been explored, paving the way to the observation of exotic phases of matter. 2022-05-31T10:31:54Z 2022-05-31T10:31:54Z 2019 book ONIX_20220531_9788864539898_799 2612-8020 9788864539898 9788864539881 9788892730168 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/55515 eng Premio Tesi di Dottorato application/pdf Attribution 4.0 International 9788864539898.pdf https://books.fupress.com/isbn/9788864539898 Firenze University Press 10.36253/978-88-6453-989-8 10.36253/978-88-6453-989-8 bf65d21a-78e5-4ba2-983a-dbfa90962870 9788864539898 9788864539881 9788892730168 78 164 Florence open access
