Photography Regent’s Canal Reconnaissance Study City waterways are a valuable part of our cultural heritage. Over the years the usage has changed from business to pleasure. Regent’s Canal, cutting across north central London since 1820, has a rich social and industrial history. Much of this history has been and is being captured via photographs. Many of these are being lost due to limited museum resources and disparate collections. This paper reports on phase one of a fifteen-month exploratory research project. The research aims to explore ways of aiding image capture, selection, storage and retrieval. We hope to link with researchers elsewhere, especially in Italy. 2022-06-01T12:08:17Z 2022-06-01T12:08:17Z 2018 chapter ONIX_20220601_9788864537078_84 2704-5846 9788864537078 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/55901 eng Proceedings e report application/pdf Attribution 4.0 International 13975.pdf https://books.fupress.com/doi/capitoli/9788864537078_41 Firenze University Press 10.36253/978-88-6453-707-8.41 10.36253/978-88-6453-707-8.41 bf65d21a-78e5-4ba2-983a-dbfa90962870 9788864537078 118 8 Florence open access
