This period witnessed the development of an alleged new course for Italian policies vis-à-vis Africa and some African countries in particular. Here we focus on Nigeria and Senegal. An outline of the official visits made by Italian politicians to Africa and the scrutiny of parliamentary debates on African issues allows to assess the divide between the rhetoric of a supposed ‘new course’, with Italy at the forefront of a new Euro-Africa partnership, and the continuity of ‘old’ concerns on matters such as the control of flows and mobility. 2022-06-01T12:28:03Z 2022-06-01T12:28:03Z 2021 chapter ONIX_20220601_9788864539652_730 2704-5919 9788864539652 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/56546 ita Studi e saggi application/pdf Attribution 4.0 International 26397.pdf https://books.fupress.com/doi/capitoli/978-88-6453-965-2_5 Firenze University Press 10.36253/978-88-6453-965-2.05 10.36253/978-88-6453-965-2.05 bf65d21a-78e5-4ba2-983a-dbfa90962870 9788864539652 229 23 Florence open access |
