This will be increasingly critical as smoke exposure and degraded air quality are expected to increase in extent and severity in a warmer climate. Accurate smoke information is a foundation for helping individuals and communities to effectively mitigate potential smoke impacts from wildfires and prescribed fires. The book documents our current understanding of smoke science for (1) primary physical, chemical, and biological issues related to wildfire and prescribed fire, (2) key social issues, including human health and economic impacts, and (3) current and anticipated management and regulatory issues. Each chapter provides a summary of priorities for future research that provide a roadmap for developing scientific information that can improve smoke and fire management over the next decade. 2022-08-17T20:13:50Z 2022-08-17T20:13:50Z 2022 book ONIX_20220817_9783030870454_5 9783030870454 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/57899 eng application/pdf n/a 978-3-030-87045-4.pdf https://link.springer.com/978-3-030-87045-4 Springer Nature Springer 10.1007/978-3-030-87045-4 10.1007/978-3-030-87045-4 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 c3ecfa6b-03f3-4ac1-b1e6-aaf51edf1fa7 9783030870454 Springer 341 Cham [...] open access
