The experts participating in the project describe how SODALITE works and how it can be exploited by end users. While multiple languages and tools are available in the literature to support DevOps teams in the automation of deployment and operation steps, still these activities require specific know-how and skills that cannot be found in average teams. The SODALITE framework tackles this problem by offering modelling and smart editing features to allow those we call Application Ops Experts to work without knowing low level details about the adopted, potentially heterogeneous, infrastructures. The framework offers also mechanisms to verify the quality of the defined models, generate the corresponding executable infrastructural code, automatically wrap application components within proper execution containers, orchestrate all activities concerned with deployment and operation of all system components, and support on-the-fly self-adaptation and refactoring. 2022-08-17T20:14:24Z 2022-08-17T20:14:24Z 2022 book ONIX_20220817_9783031049613_20 9783031049613 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/57924 eng SpringerBriefs in Applied Sciences and Technology; PoliMI SpringerBriefs application/pdf n/a 978-3-031-04961-3.pdf https://link.springer.com/978-3-031-04961-3 Springer Nature Springer 10.1007/978-3-031-04961-3 10.1007/978-3-031-04961-3 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 934fa25c-7607-42a3-b320-9719e66e012e 9783031049613 Springer 148 Cham [...] Horizon 2020 Framework Programme EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation H2020 open access
