This kind of research encompasses a number of approaches, such as design studies, action studies, Learning Studies, Lesson Studies, and combined research and development studies. There are important differences between these approaches, but they also share some features, which makes it possible to see them as examples of a particular tradition of knowledge building. Collaborative knowledge building constitutes close ties between developing practices of early childhood education and care, and generating empirically grounded theoretical knowledge. This book contributes to the methodology of practices-developing research by mapping this movement through exemplifying themes actualised in such studies, and through conceptualizing important and recurring gains and challenges. It also describes how the latter can be taken on. 2022-12-13T12:37:18Z 2022-12-13T12:37:18Z 2023 book ONIX_20221213_9783031145834_30 9783031145834 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/60167 eng International Perspectives on Early Childhood Education and Development application/pdf n/a 978-3-031-14583-4.pdf https://link.springer.com/978-3-031-14583-4 Springer Nature Springer 10.1007/978-3-031-14583-4 10.1007/978-3-031-14583-4 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 4114261d-3df1-4848-8f49-6407519ab4c1 9783031145834 Springer 38 181 Cham [...] open access
