The theoretical idea upon which this book is based is that of intersexual dialogue, a term that refers to the various literary strategies employed by Israeli female fiction writers expressing their voice within a male-dominated and (still) inherently Oedipal literary tradition. Spoiling the Stories focuses on intersexual dialogue as it evolved in the first three decades after the establishment of the state of Israel in the works of Yehudit Hendel, Amalia Kahana Carmon, and Rachel Eytan. According to Merin, these three women writers were the most important in the history of modern Hebrew literature: each was a significant participant in the poetic development of her time. 2023-07-27T14:00:44Z 2023-07-27T14:00:44Z 2016 book ONIX_20230727_9780810133723_87 9780810133723 9780810133716 9780810133709 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/64196 eng application/pdf application/epub+zip Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International 9780810133723.pdf 9780810133723.epub Northwestern University Press 10.21985/n2-myv1-3n41 10.21985/n2-myv1-3n41 b4699693-8bd9-4982-b22e-c153becb6f4b b5941080-3f20-4864-95c6-753acff7c9f4 9780810133723 9780810133716 9780810133709 Big Ten Open Books Evanston [...] Big Ten Open Books Big Ten Open Books — Gender and Sexuality Studies Collection Big Ten Academic Alliance open access
