This volume includes selected contributions presented at the conference on preservation topics, photonic techniques, and optimization methods. In particular, the papers focus on the development and use of innovative spectroscopic and imaging characterization techniques, the diagnostic knowledge of important artworks, and the optimization of the laser solution for preserving a growing variety of cultural assets, such as stone and metal artefacts, painted surfaces, textile, feather, and plastic artefacts. Lasers in the Conservation of Artworks XIII aims at scholars and operators of the community of preservation of cultural heritage, at teachers and students of training courses on diagnostic and conservation methods, applied physics, and chemistry, as well as archaeology and art history. 2023-11-06T14:36:07Z 2023-11-06T14:36:07Z 2024 book ONIX_20231106_9781003858843_4 9781003858843 9781032479965 9781032479958 9781003386872 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/79395 eng application/pdf n/a 9781003858843.pdf Taylor & Francis CRC Press 10.1201/9781003386872 10.1201/9781003386872 7b3c7b10-5b1e-40b3-860e-c6dd5197f0bb 9781003858843 9781032479965 9781032479958 9781003386872 CRC Press 282 open access
