Drawing on contributions from nearly 70 leading migration scholars, mainly from the Global South, the handbook challenges dominant conceptualisations of migration, offering new perspectives and insights that can inform theoretical and policy understandings and unlock migration’s development potential. The handbook is divided into four parts, each highlighting often overlooked mobility patterns within and between regions of the Global South, as well as the inequalities faced by those who move. Key cross-cutting themes include gender, race, poverty and income inequality, migration decision making, intermediaries, remittances, technology, climate change, food security and migration governance. The handbook is an indispensable resource on South-South migration and inequality for academics, researchers, postgraduates and development practitioners. 2024-01-15T16:45:32Z 2024-01-15T16:45:32Z 2024 book ONIX_20240115_9783031398148_20 9783031398148 9783031398131 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86892 eng application/pdf n/a 978-3-031-39814-8.pdf https://link.springer.com/978-3-031-39814-8 Springer Nature Palgrave Macmillan 10.1007/978-3-031-39814-8 10.1007/978-3-031-39814-8 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 7d4dc206-2682-4e4b-8332-2381cb1f144e 9783031398148 9783031398131 Palgrave Macmillan 749 Cham [...] Coventry University CU open access
