Written in a style that appeals to humanities students without prior science training, and to science students without prior humanities training, the textbook contains 6 Units, material for an introductory class, and summative comments to be discussed in a closing meeting. Each Unit comprises an overview designed as student home reading, a lecture, and a lab. The labs contain detailed step-by-step instructions for running a basic experiment and analysing the collected data, that can be easily implemented in humanities and science departments alike. The textbook introduces students to philosophical considerations of neuroaesthetics topics in context of the history of empirical aesthetics, showcases experimental approaches to the empirical study of dance, the visual arts, and music, and supports hands-on training in experimental research methods. 2024-01-15T16:45:53Z 2024-01-15T16:45:53Z 2024 book ONIX_20240115_9783031423239_30 9783031423239 9783031423222 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/86909 eng application/pdf n/a 978-3-031-42323-9.pdf https://link.springer.com/978-3-031-42323-9 Springer Nature Palgrave Macmillan 10.1007/978-3-031-42323-9 10.1007/978-3-031-42323-9 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 139ca519-3a44-47fd-9416-30e74d184f53 9783031423239 9783031423222 Palgrave Macmillan 291 Cham [...] EEA Grants/Norway Grants European Economic Area Grants open access
