For several decades now, the conservation of contemporary art has been a dynamic field of research and reflection. Because of contemporary art’s variable constitution, its care and management calls for a fundamental rethinking of the overall research landscape of museums, heritage institutions, private-sector organizations and universities. At first, this research was primarily pursued by conservation professionals working in or with museums and other heritage organizations, but increasingly academic researchers and universities became involved, for instance through collaborative projects. This book is the result of such collaboration. It sets out to bridge the “gap” between theory and practice by investigating conservation practices as a form of reflection and reflection as a form of practice. 2024-03-13T11:10:20Z 2024-03-13T11:10:20Z 2024 book ONIX_20240313_9783031423574_23 9783031423574 9783031423567 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/88322 eng Studies in Art, Heritage, Law and the Market application/pdf n/a 978-3-031-42357-4.pdf https://link.springer.com/978-3-031-42357-4 Springer Nature Springer International Publishing 10.1007/978-3-031-42357-4 10.1007/978-3-031-42357-4 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 093455ef-4084-4959-bfe3-3646c923dda3 9783031423574 9783031423567 Springer International Publishing 9 401 Cham [...] open access
