In particular, the focus of the chapter is the ways in which the capacities of researchers in the global south can be strengthened through collaboration with universities in the global north. There is an emphasis in this work on the juxtaposition of capacity development and capacity strengthening, the latter invoking the notion that there are foundations to build upon. All of the work of SHLC focused on the links between SDG 3 (Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages), SDG 4 (Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all) and SDG 11 (Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable). The chapter reports on a range of activities with a focus on a number of projects that it funded in the global south. 2024-04-02T15:49:28Z 2024-04-02T15:49:28Z 2023 chapter ONIX_20240402_9791221502534_171 2704-5781 9791221502534 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/89202 eng Studies on Adult Learning and Education application/pdf n/a 9791221502534_20.pdf https://books.fupress.com/doi/capitoli/979-12-215-0253-4_20 Firenze University Press 10.36253/979-12-215-0253-4.20 10.36253/979-12-215-0253-4.20 bf65d21a-78e5-4ba2-983a-dbfa90962870 9791221502534 17 15 Florence open access
