Passing through Enclosures and Reversing Inequalities through Educational Commons. The overall objective of the project was to understand, develop, and accelerate the potential impact of education on reversing inequalities for active social inclusion of children and young people at risk in Europe, through introducing the emergent paradigm of the “commons” as an alternative value and action system in the field of education (preschools, schools, and after-school programs). SMOOTH critically draws out the implications of the commons for refiguring education and for social change in general, on a footing of equality, sharing, participation, togetherness, caring, and freedom. Universities, research laboratories, municipalities, NGOs, museums, and youth organizations, in different European countries, have worked together to achieve the aboveaim involving almost 200 educators and teachers, and 800 children, and providing interesting insights and suggestions on how to implement educational commons in many different educational contexts. The target audience comprises policymakers and education leaders, students from Education and Communication degrees, researchers, and educators from both formal and non-formal educational contexts. 2024-04-16T08:17:31Z 2024-04-16T08:17:31Z 2024 book ONIX_20240416_9783031518379_26 9783031518379 9783031518362 https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/89921 eng UNIPA Springer Series application/pdf n/a 978-3-031-51837-9.pdf https://link.springer.com/978-3-031-51837-9 Springer Nature Springer Nature Switzerland 10.1007/978-3-031-51837-9 10.1007/978-3-031-51837-9 6c6992af-b843-4f46-859c-f6e9998e40d5 934fa25c-7607-42a3-b320-9719e66e012e 9783031518379 9783031518362 Springer Nature Switzerland 255 Cham [...] Horizon 2020 Framework Programme EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation H2020 open access
