The first part of the volume addresses the main theoretical themes considered and the methodological aspects applied; The second part outlines, given the set of contributions and studies presented, an historical-social framework in which there are various social, cultural and value forces in interaction with each other, which concern sovereign power and the law, the theme of gender and the image of women. All of this considering the transition from the fascist regime to democracy of a country moving towards a complete modernization, while maintaining broad socio-cultural traits dating back and lasting a long time.
