Alex Karp

Karp attending the [[AI Safety Summit 2023|AI Safety Summit]] in London, November 2023 Alexander Caedmon Karp (born October 2, 1967) is an American businessman and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of the software firm Palantir Technologies.

Karp earned his J.D. degree from Stanford Law School, where he met Peter Thiel, and a doctorate in social theory from Goethe University Frankfurt. He subsequently worked in finance, founding the investment firm Caedmon Group, where he managed money for clients including wealthy European investors and invested in start-up companies and stocks. Through his connection with Thiel, Karp later helped co-found Palantir alongside three others in 2003.

In 2025, his net worth exceeded $18 billion, making him among the wealthiest 200 people in the world as reported by ''Forbes'' and the ''Bloomberg Billionaires Index, and Time'' magazine named him on the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people of that year. Provided by Wikipedia
